However, if you feel that you have a legitimate reason for not buying the item, you can contact the seller and explain your situation. Many sellers are willing to work with you if you communicate with them openly and honestly. If you haven’t done so already, contact the seller. Click on My Account, scroll down to see a list of listings you have one or bid on, click on the link for the listing you wish to cancel, find the Contact Seller on listing page and then click message, explain the situation, and see if the seller is willing to cancel the transaction. If the seller doesn’t agree to cancel the transaction and you don’t pay for the item, an unpaid item may be recorded on your account. If you get too many unpaid items recorded on your account, your account may be limited or suspended. Do you want to return an item? If you’ve bought an item and you want to use your right of withdrawal under Distance Selling Regulations to return it, you can initiate a return buy contacting the seller enplaning you would like to return it under the Distance Selling Regulations. According to Distance Selling Regulations, consumers who purchase online from a business seller can usually cancel the contract and return the item within 7 working days after receiving it. Remember, many sellers keep regular business hours, and some don’t respond to emails during the evening, on weekends or on public holidays. Changing or retracting your bid

As a general rule, you can’t retract or cancel a bid. Once you place a bid, you agree to pay for the item if you’re the winning bidder. However, honest mistakes sometimes occur. There might be times when you’d like to change your bid and have a valid reason for doing so. If your reason for retracting your bid is a typo (E.G you put £1000 when you meant £100), you will be required, if you meet the guide lines, to rebid strait away. If the auction has more then 12 hours we will remove your bid. If the auction has less then 12 hours but more then 1 hour, we will remove your bid if you contact us with in 1 hour of your mistake. To retract your bid, just leave a comment on the listing page, addressed to administrator, stating you would like to retract your bid, and your reason why. this has the advantage of keeping the seller informed of what’s going on as well. We moderate all comments, so we will see your message.
